The Health Systems Database uses the World Bank classification of countries by income group. It divides countries by their 2004 gross national income (GNI) per capita, calculated using the World Bank Atlas method, and comprises member-state countries and all other countries with a population of more than 30,000. Countries with a population of less than 30,000 are not put into a group.
Low Income (GNI of US$825 or less):
