The purpose of this page is to plot data over time for an indicator and country(ies) selected.

Select an indicator from the drop down menu. Note that the list in the menu is limited to the indicators for which historical data are available.

Select country. Apply the country filter to select one or more countries you wish to show data on the graph.

Select indicators: select indicators you wish to present on the graph by first clicking on an indicator name on the list on the left and then clicking the “Add” button until the indicator appears on the Selected Indicators list on the right (you can select multiple indicators simultaneously by holding down the Control key while clicking on indicator names).. Note the list in the menu is limited to the indicators for which historical data are available. For easy selection of a number of indicators you can apply filters by topic. Just select a topic, then the corresponding list of indicators will appear in the box Indicators, and click on the “Select All” or “Add” button for the selected indicators to appear on the list on the right.
Chart Option: You can choose to have data points displayed as a bar, a point (or dot), a line, or a dotted line (Point And Line). To smooth out short-term fluctuations, you can opt for showing the moving average and choosing between the average for the last 3 years or the last 5 years. Selecting or unselecting “Bar Width Narrow” will allow you to have narrower or wider bars. When only one country is selected, the chart can show the average for the region and/or income group the country belongs to. Just tick “Show Income Average” and/or “Show Region Average”. When a single country is selected, you can choose to display the range of values for the income group and/or region by selecting “Show Income Range” and/or “Show Region Range”. The option is to show the range between the 25th and 75th quintiles or the range between the maximum and minimum data.
Click “Create Chart” to create/update the chart. The data will be displayed in a table under the chart.
Click on one of the download options if you want to save the data in Excel or Word. That way, you can use the data to create your own graphs, charts or tables.
To save the chart and insert it in reports or documents, place your cursor on the left upper corner of the graph and click Save this image; or place your cursor on the chart, right click and select Save picture as.
