The purpose of this page is to two indicators on the x and y axis.

Indicators tab: Select the indicators you
would like to see on the x and y axes.

Countries tab [Optional]: You can apply a
filter to limit the data displayed to a group of countries by World Bank
Regions or World Bank Income Group. Just select a group from one of the
drop down menus. The list of countries in that group will appear in the
box Country to highlight on the right hand side of the screen.

Countries tab [Optional]: You can highlight
a country on the graph. The point for that country will be a pink
diamond.

Outliers tab [Optional]: You can remove
outliers or any country by highlighting the country in the list box and
hit the "Remove Country" button.
Chart Option: If desired, you may select some optional chart features. You
can choose the have a linear (select y=a+bx), linear-log (y=a+blog(x)) or
log-log (log(a)=a+blog(x)) regression line. [NOTE: Do not use log models
when indicators are likely to have 0 or negative values.] If you select
“Color by Income group”, the data points or dots will have a different
color depending on which income group they belong to (e.g. red for low
income). You can choose to have the average for each indicator displayed
as a horizontal and vertical line by ticking “Show Average”. If you tick
“Rescale”, the minimum value of the x and y axis will correspond to the
minimum in the range of data selected for the chart. You also have the
option of selecting a linear or logarithmic scale.
Click “Create Chart” to create/update the chart. The data will be
displayed in a table under the chart.
Click on one of the download options if you want to save the data in
Excel or Word. That way, you can use the data to create your own graphs,
charts or tables.
To save the chart and insert it in reports or documents, place your
cursor on the chart, right click and select "Save picture as".
